I recently had the pleasure of sampling the new 6 day Soy Free Kaeng Raeng cleanse and had such a wonderful experience! As a HUGE advocate of cleansing every other month I’ve been on a mission to find my personal favorites! I’ve done everything from juice cleanses to raw food cleanses and everything in between, but no other cleanse has given me he results that I get from the Kaeng Raeng cleanse.
What I love about this cleanse is that its very versatile. You can add in milk alternatives, fruit, or simply mix with water for a great flavor.
I’ll be honest, before my first Kaeng Raeng experience.. the idea of embracing a cleanse that involves adhering to consuming only 3 different flavored smoothies a day for 6 days would seem unfathomable..
After experiencing their 3 day clenase for the first time this past summer though, I was quite excited to find that the Kaeng Raeng cleanse left me satiated, energized, and I didn’t get bored with the flavors.
I tend to prefer my standard organic green juice and feel confident that it’s best way to obtain optimal nutrients, but for an actual detox that is low in calories, has no added sugar, is soy free, doesn’t make me bloat, doesn’t expire for over a year.. I was sold on the Kaeng Raeng.

How does it work?
Kaeng Raeng was created by a Standford University alumna Lindsay Reinsmith pictured above. Lindsay says your body can consume all natural ingredients easily, healthfully separating fiber and nutrients, and passing waste through your colon cleanly. When you consume additives, chemicals, toxins, and other processed foods, your digestive system cannot properly separate the healthy from the non healthy components of the food. Many times, these toxins will not pass through your colon properly, sometimes building up over days, weeks, months, or years. Kaeng Raeng works to “flush” all of those toxins by using all natural fibers and water to help eliminate that colon build up.
Further, Kaeng Raeng is a restricted diet whereby you are abstaining from cooked, processed, heavily sugary or salted foods. By removing these foods from your diet, even for a short period of time, your body will naturally release toxic build up through the digestive system and skin. Our new soy free formula is here by popular demand! It has the same great taste and effectiveness of our regular cleanse programs but features non-gmo pea protein in place of soy. Our soy free formula is closest to our Beginner level in terms of intensity. Choose your timeline – either 3 or 6 day. The 6-Day program is ideal for those trying to lose weight. The program is simple and straight forward: just drink one pouch per meal time (3 times per day) in addition to raw fruits and vegetables. Simply add one pouch to 24-32oz of liquid. So I thought instead of giving you a recap of every single day due to the consistency in my shake and salad choices that I was give you a first hand look at my first day on the cleanse

CLEANSING DAY #1
My first day of cleansing I of course was craving something fruity and sweet, so I blended my Kaeng Raeng shake with almond milk in addition to frozen fruit. I will note that its the best way to transition into cleansing for a few days. The shake will have a thicker consistency with the addition of a milk alternative, but after a day.. I really wanted to switch to water to have a more smoothie like feel and didn’t desire the sweetness I initially wanted. Each smoothie has around 200 calories. When you add in the almond milk and fruit the calories do add up. I recommend you mix with only water for maximum results.
My first day of cleansing was the only day where I felt hungry midday and needed food and not a shake. I decided to while up a fresh salad with all raw ingredients with a splash of olive oil and vinegar.. but I caved and made some balsamic glazed Beyond Meat chicken (Ugh-Mazing)
It’s important to add avocado or a little bit of olive oil to your salad as you absorb the phytonutrients better when there is a little bit of fat (true story)
For my second cleanse with Kaeng Raeng I stuck to some of my favorite past smoothie ingredients, but I also decided to venture out and mix it up!! This time around I loved adding my classic organic alfalfa sprouts and kale, but also added in homegrown organic wheat grass!!
I REALLY loved the addition of the wheat grass as when I cleanse I can sometimes get sluggish due to limiting intake and the grass gave me the energy boost I needed and was barely detectable in the smoothies..
(just be sure to add little by little as wheat grass is pretty potent!)
Another smoothie blend that was my fave was the Day Break blend with avocado, alfalfa sprouts, kale, and frozen banana
I recommend using avocado to add healthy fats in the mix for maximum nutrients. The smoothie consistency will take a thicker form once added, I would use it only when blending with water and not a milk alternative as it will become SUPER THICK
During my last few days of cleansing I decided to get all fancy and add pomegranate seeds into the mix for a good dose of antioxidants. I loved the flavor I achieved when combined with the strawberry Kaeng Raeng mix, but the pits of the seeds were huge due to the fact that the pomegranate was on the smaller side. I would recommend either buy organic 100% pomegranate juice (not the Pom brand) or simply crushing the seeds and extracting the juice
I wanted to make sure to get a variety of colors in my veggies so that I could obtain optimal phytonutrients while cleansing. These were great raw and simply tossed on a salad
After 6 days of cleansing I felt energized and 49849584 times better than before the cleanse. I highly recommend using water, minimal fruit, and lots of fun ingredients like chia seeds, hemp seeds, wheat grass, and sprouts!!
Exercising is also important to give your cleanse a boost! I took 3 Spin classes at Soul Cycle and instead of being wiped out, I wanted to spin more loll (spinning is addictive)
As someone who hasn’t done spinning since 2009 I’ll be honest, I was completing exhausted and out of breath the first class, but once I got going.. I LOVED IT!!
