Organic growers are not supposed to use chemical pesticides, herbicides or man-made fertilizers on crops. Yet an organic certification does allow farmers to use animal waste, including blood meal and bone meal, to fertilize fields. Some organic farms purchase these animal by-products from slaughterhouses and other non-organic sources. The animals have been given antibiotics and hormones throughout their lives, and exposed to pesticides and other chemicals.
Every grower who helps make One Degree foods uses veganic growing methods only.
We keep the number of ingredients few – seven or less, all recognizable and real. Far from the chemical chorus found in modern food concoctions, our ingredients play simple harmonies, with lots of grace notes.

I made these organic vegan Oatmeal Raisin cookies using whole wheat flour, hemp seeds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, and oats!!
