Kaeng Raeng Review
Hello & Happy Wednesday!!
The more exhausted I got with school and work, I found that it became more and more of an effort to simply throw a smoothie together. All the washing, chopping, can seem as a hassle at times. As someone who advocates for wellness, I hope this helps you better identify with me in that we all struggle sometimes to make that extra effort to get all the nutrients we need.
I recently had the opportunity to work with Kaeng Raeng. I’ve previously sampled their initial cleanse, which I was completely enamored with, so when I had the chance to sample their new Daily Green energy powder along with the newly released skincare products I was absolutely on board.
The Kaeng Raeng body care products are all vegan, cruelty free, gluten free, non-gmo, and free from artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, parabens, and phthalates. Certified vegan by Vegan.org.

About the company:
I started this company six years ago with a single blender in my one bedroom apartment in downtown Palo Alto. I was working long hours as an advisor to natural products companies and hated how unhealthy I had become. I started experimenting with raw vegan diets and created cleansing smoothies in my kitchen.
I knew what I had created was special (because it worked); so, in true Silicon Valley fashion, I posted about my weight loss, renewed energy, and better skin on Facebook. Several men and women, people just like you, asked if they could join me in jumpstarting a healthier lifestyle.
I created Kaeng Raeng Cleanse to provide an accessible, healthy, delicious, and FILLING natural cleanse product to the market. I was sick of how tired and gross I felt with my awful diet of processed, artificial foods and decided to embrace the culture of health and wellness so ubiquitous in Northern California. I found doing the Kaeng Raeng cleanse exhilarating and liberating. I could really taste my food. I was finally aware of what I was putting into my body.
I named the company Kaeng Raeng, pronounced kang-rang, which means “be healthy, be strong” in the Thai language. I continue to be fascinated with Thai’s cultural cuisine focused on the vegetarian lifestyle (Phuket, Thailand has the largest vegetarian festival in the world). KR is truly a product that empowers you to find your best health and inner strength. Although we have a Thai name, KR is based in California. We strive to use ingredients from local suppliers and package our products in the USA.
No I’m not a stick-thin model or a hippy. Kaeng Raeng is not owned by a Wall Street bank or a foreign corporation. I’m just an entrepreneur who used to have trouble staying healthy, and I found a kick ass way to always look and feel my best. I’m writing this so that you know who we are, and what we stand for. Today, we’re launching new and exciting cleansing products every quarter, including our brand new vegan body care line.
As a small business we’re committed to growing sustainably and helping our customers get healthy in a safe and natural way.

Use it for breakfast, as an afternoon snack, or before or after your daily workout. Safe for use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
Like all other Kaeng Raeng products, the DGE is vegan, gluten free, caffeine free, soy free, non-gmo, peanut free, and free from artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, and preservatives. This product is less fruit forward than th cleanse options they offer, but it’s packed to the max with more fruit and veggies and like the others you can almost get two smoothies out of one pack!
Whether you’re on the go, traveling, simply don’t want to and or don’t have the time to pick up tons of produce, I find that powders packing all the nutrients you need and no funny preservatives are a great option! For myself I hate when produce goes bad, and while I freeze fruit to use for shakes later, that too can go bad and lack flavor and nutrients.
Yes, fresh produce is the way to go to obtain optimal nutrients, but when I have to choose an alternative, I actually really love this product by Kaeng Raeng. It packs protein with peas, and features Spirulina and Chlorella, which are my favorites! So in addition to being a great option for traveling, mitigating produce waste it also preserves counter space.
Instead of having 5 different powders, you can have one with everything you need!
Our new luxurious body scrub, the first in our natural body care line, exfoliates impurities and replenishes your skin, leaving a silky smooth finish you’ll have to feel to believe. Use it during a cleanse to extend detoxifying benefits, or enjoy daily. Don’t forget: what goes on your body goes in your body, so we kept it all natural.
How to Use: In the shower or bath, stir contents of jar with stirring stick or finger then apply to wet skin. Massage gently, exfoliating dead skin cells. Rinse well and pat dry.
Ingredients: Himalayan Pink Salt, Dead Sea Salt, Organic Virgin Shea Butter, Organic Apricot Kernel Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Vanilla Absolute Essential Oil
I’m naturally a huge scrub person. I don’t exfoliate my face on the regular as I find it can be too abrasive, but when it comes to exfoliating the body I’m all about that! The catch with exfoliators is that they have to have a good balance of the scrub factor and hydration. Whether it’s a green beauty product or not, a lot of companies miss the mark and or the purpose of scrubs altogether.
This KR scrub provides a light fragrance of peaches and aroma of the beach! Looking at the ingredients now it makes perfect sense due to the apricot and shea butter. Believe it or not, apricot kernel isn’t common in a lot of green beauty products and I’ve tested 100’s. Looking back to why I gravitated towards this smell so much is in part due to the fact that it’s remisncet of the St. Ives scrub everybody used ages ago! lol (true story)
So needless to say, I loved the smell. The exfoliation factor isn’t really present in the product, but they hydration factor compensates for the lacking exfoliation in my opinion. I’ve used a myriad of shower body oil type products, typically they sit on your skin and don’t really hydrate. However, this product soaks into the skin leaving it feeling like butter even in the dryest of the dry areas. Perhaps it’s because they blended Shea Butter into the product? That being said, I really loved this product and would definitely purchase it based on the simplicity of the ingredients, the hydration factor, smell, and above all, its helping a small business thrive!
While this was more on the expensive side being $36, you get a generous portion and a little bit goes a long way!
Draw out impurities and revitalize your skin with KR Cleansing Clay: your facial in a jar! Life & Style Weekly calls our clay a “Miracle in a Jar”! KR Cleansing Clay is a unique formulation of two highly absorptive clays and activated charcoal, an absorptive carbon that can attract and hold 200 times its volume in impurities, making it the perfect ingredient to help draw out toxins.
High end spas charge several hundred dollars for these specialty masks, but now Kaeng Raeng has brought the spa to your home! KR Cleansing Clay contains powerful botanical healing properties, mineral rich exfoliation, and luxurious essential oils which help to improve circulation and calm irritated skin.
I’m actually not one to gravitate towards any type of clay mask as I find them to be too harsh on the skin being that mine is typically on the dry side every season of the year. So when it comes to blemishes I’ll use tea tree oil, but sometimes your skin needs something else to speed up the process of healing blemishes. That’s when you need a quick clay mask! What I like most about this product is the smell. Although the ingredients are completely different than the oil serum I found it to have a similar aroma.
The texture isn’t rock solid, which is ideal as the product will become more solid over time and if it appears that way from the get go, chances are it will solidify even more over time and be useless.
In addition to having a pleasant fragrance and a smooth texture, it also wasn’t drying! If you need a clay mask that packs straightforward ingredients that won’t dry out the skin, you need to try this product!
When you’ve finished your cleanse, you know your skin looks incredible. Keep up your new glow with After Glow, a daily nighttime moisturizing serum.
KR After Glow is a special, 4-way blend of antioxidant rich organic oils, handpicked for their abilities to brighten and renew skin. These luxury oils make our blend exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids, tocopherols (vitamin E) and phenols, carotenes, and squalene. These are all vital elements that defend against free radicals damage, brighten skin, and minimize fine lines for deeply hydrated, glowing skin.
This must-have lightweight serum smooths on and absorbs quickly and deeply to make even the driest skin feel amazing. Lavender, Frankincense and Neroli Essential oils provide anti-bacterial properties to treat and prevent breakouts as well as powerful healing properties to help regenerate skin, fighting age spots and acne scars. Best for normal to dry skin.
Ingredients: Organic Grapeseed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Rosehip Oil, Organic Argan Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Neroli Essential Oil, Frankincense Essential Oil, Rosemary Antioxidant (Extract)
After testing a massive amount of hydrating oil blends, I’ve come to find that the hydration factor are typically the same and that I just organically like certain oils better than others. What I love most about this product is the smell! although the ingredients may be different, I felt the aroma was quite similar to the face mask they produce. You get the standard amount of oil in this product and its comprised of staple oils such as jojoba oil and rosehip, but the most expensive of these oils are perhaps the Frankincense. Since products are listed in order of concentration, the more expensive ones are a smaller percentage of the product. Is this a factor that makes it a bad product? No, as you’ll find when you review various products whether green or not, it’s quite common.
In regards to the quality, I truly loved the smell and combination of the oils and the price point alone of $20 is superb considering the portion and the quality of the product! Whether you use on your face or body, I really enjoyed this product!
