Lavender Grilled Pears

If there is one thing I’m obsessed with regardless of the season, it’s grilled.. anything! Grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, and especially fruit are my weekly go to!
While for some people grilled fruit resonates as a summer concept, you can absolutely enjoy grilled fruit any time of the year. Depending on the season you can modify the ingredients that accompany the grilled fruit, and boom, you have the perfect low calorie vegan dessert!
What I love about grilled fruit is that the ingredients are always accessible, affordable, grilling provides a hint of smoke, more aesthetic appeal, you can grill any variety of fruit you crave minus berries, and you can “PEAR” it with coconut cream to provide an effortless dessert that packs minimal added sugar and lots of flavor!

- 2 pears
- coconut oil
- 1 drop lavender oil
- 1 can coconut oil (refrigerated)
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- mint garnish (optional)
- lavender buds (optional)
- In the bowl of a standing mixer, remove the solid portion of the refrigerated coconut milk and begin to whisk on medium. Add the lavender, vanilla, and gradually add the powdered sugar 1tbsp at a time. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Preheat your grill to medium high heat. Brush the pears with coconut oil and place onto the grill cut side down. Grill the pears for about 3-5 minutes or until hot and marked. Top the peaches with lavender coconut cream, and garnish with lavender buds and mint.
