As a nutritionist there are a handful of items that have become staples in my kitchen..


Cacao, avocados, and most importantly.. Chia Seeds!


These little seeds are packed with fiber, protein, calcium, and omega 3’s 


My philosophy, buy organic, non GMO and put them in everything from smoothies, pudding, pancakes, or even a glass of water with some fresh fruit for added nutrients..

chia-seedsChia, also known as Salvia hispanica, is a Latin American plant recognized as part of the mint family. Historically, chia seeds have been added to soups and beverages by ancient Native American civilizations such as the Aztecs to boost well-being. Chia seeds are becoming popular because they are a rich, vegetarian source of Omega-3 fatty acids.


Additionally, Chia seeds also contain large amounts of fiber and protein, and lesser amounts of calcium, magnesium, iron, and antioxidants. Chia seeds are often described as having an agreeable crunchy texture and nutty flavor. Chia seeds can be added to a healthy diet in many ways, including sprinkling chia seeds on salads, soup, yogurt, or in smoothies.

Easy Lemon Strawberry Chia Pudding

  1. - strawberries
  2. - Nutrigold chia seeds
  3. - lemon extract
  4. - coconut milk or almond coconut milk
  5. - lemon zest (for added lemon boost)
  1. - For this size container use 4 tbsp of chia seeds and mix with coconut milk or almond coconut milk, lemon extract
  2. - Let soak overnight for best results, top with fresh strawberries and lemon zest
  3. - Serve with mint
Eat. Drink. Shrink.
